Our Response to The Corona Virus
The spread of the Coronavirus in the last few weeks has made an already difficult situation for our most vulnerable clients, even harder.
The most vulnerable people in our communities, who are also potentially most at risk can be isolated with little money to pay for soaring food prices.
With your help and the support of Islamic Relief, Leeds City Council and The Barakah Team we have been able to distribute food parcels, essential toiletries and food vouchers to struggling families.
Through mobilising our volunteers, we are responding to ensure our communities have access to food and essential non-food items during this crisis.
In the last week we have distributed over 150 food parcels and expect to be distributing hundreds more over the next few week. We are also issuing food vouchers to help people meet the need for culturally or religiously appropriate products.
We are collecting funds to help provide food parcels and essential goods during Ramadan and the Covid-19 crisis.
Please give generously to ensure we can continue to meet the ever-growing need during this crisis. We accept zakat, sadaqa or general donations.
